Do you have a completed Tiny House available for viewing?
Yes! We’d love to show you around. Our showroom is open Saturday to Monday, and Tuesday mornings, by appointment only. You’re welcome to visit, explore our designs in person, and chat about your ideas for tiny living. To ensure we have enough time to walk you through and discuss your needs in detail, please book your visit online or give us a call.
Why choose a Tiny House on Wheels?
Tiny Houses on Wheels offer flexibility and freedom. Classified as a registerable vehicle, similarly to caravans and motorhomes—which generally removes the need for a building permit. Better still, your home can move with you, so you’re not tied to one location.
What is the total weight of a Tiny House?
Our homes are built on a 4.5-tonne AL-KO tri-axle trailer. Final weight depends on your specific layout and inclusions, but we design every build to remain within legal towing limits.
Do I need council approval?
In most cases, a building permit is not required, as a Tiny House on Wheels is legally considered a moveable dwelling or custom caravan. However, each council has its own planning rules for how and where movable dwellings can be lived in. You may not need approval to own or park a Tiny House, but you might need permission to connect services or live in it full-time. We recommend checking with your local council for specifics.
Are the Tiny Houses insulated? What kind of insulation is used?
Absolutely. Every red gum tiny house is insulated for year-round comfort, using Pink Batts R2.0 in the walls and ceiling. We also include double-glazed windows as standard to enhance thermal performance and reduce heating and cooling needs.
How much storage do I have?
Lots! We carefully maximise every square inch to create smart, functional storage throughout your home—under stairs, in wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, and even the bathroom. It’s all designed to make tiny living feel spacious and organised.
What outdoor living space do I have?
One of the joys of tiny living is embracing the great outdoors. That’s why we offer matching “decking on wheels”—a portable outdoor area the same size as your Tiny House. Add a pergola, outdoor kitchen, or even a bedroom pod. The possibilities are endless, and your space grows with your imagination.
How do I connect to electricity?
Our Tiny Houses are designed for easy connection using a 20-amp power lead, just like a caravan. A safety switchboard is installed as standard, and if your site has a 20-amp outlet, no electrician is required. Want to go off-grid? We can install a solar and battery system, or you can add one later.
How do I connect to water?
Connection is as easy as a standard garden hose fitting, just like in a caravan. If you’re looking for an off-grid solution, we offer rainwater tanks and pumps as an optional extra. All homes come with gutters, though they are not installed until delivery due to road clearance requirements.
Can I connect to sewer mains? What are the alternatives?
We offer two toilet options:
- Standard flush toilet – Can be connected to sewer or septic by a licensed plumber (permits may apply).
- Waterless composting toilet – Requires no plumbing and is ideal for off-grid living.
Choose the option that best suits your property and lifestyle.
How much deposit is required to confirm my order?
We require a $3,000 build placement deposit to secure your production slot and preferred delivery date. This allows us to begin preparing your plans, finalising your quote, and customising your design and fittings. The deposit is non-refundable, but will be fully deducted from your final invoice.
What is the payment plan?
We offer a simple, clear, milestone-based payment plan:
- 30% – Upon start, to order your trailer and building materials
- 30% – When the engineered steel frame is completed
- 30% – When interior work is done and we’re ready to install cabinetry
- 10% (balance) – Upon completion, prior to delivery
This structure ensures transparency and keeps your build progressing smoothly.
